About the Project
Working as a team we developed this site to house information and resources on traditional leadership assumptions for the UNC Charlotte EIST-6000/8000 Leadership and Management course in the summer of 2021.
Who We Are
Jasmine has over 15 years experience in web and application development and works as a CRM Analyst. She works to promote human-centered design through the development of quality user experiences, process reengineering, and the design of useful training.
Jasmine has a Bachelors in Software and Information Systems, a Graduate Certificate in Instructional Systems Technology with a concentration in Training and Development and a M.Ed. in Learning, Design and Technology with a concentration in Online Teaching and Learning.
She is a doctoral student within UNC Charlottes Ed.D in Educational Leadership with a concentration in Learning, Design and Technology. In addition to formal education programs, she has earned certificates in business analysis, process and project management, higher education administration and human resources through professional development programs.
Janet spent the first part of her career in the software industry where she had many roles including programming, software quality control, documentation, training, technical support for sales, project manager, and installation team lead. She began a second career in higher education in 2013. She now serves as the Director of Graduate Academic Services at UNC Charlotte where she oversees graduation clearance for all graduate students, DegreeWorks for all graduate programs, as well as early entry and dual degrees. She also reviews and edits graduate school policy and enjoys putting her performance improvement skills to work for the unit.
Janet has a BS in Management Information Systems and Management Science from the University of Rhode Island, a Graduate Certificate and an M.Ed in Instructional Systems Technology with a concentration in Training and Development from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where she is now pursuing an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership with a concentration in Learning, Design, and Technology. Her research interests include graduate online education and operationalization of policies that govern distance education.
Originally from the great city of good abode, Christan Miller currently resides in Charlotte, North Carolina with his wife Shana and his son Hendrixx. With an undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Christan started his professional career as an admissions counselor for his alma mater, the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. His legacy remains as the group he started, ME4UT continues to assist and serve underrepresented students through the admissions process for UT.
After 15 years in higher ed., Christan found himself in the midst of a career change becoming an Account Manager for NAVEX Global. During this time he decided to pursue a Masters of Education in Learning, Design, and Technology with a concentration in Training and Development to do his part to fill the Diversity and Inclusion gaps when it comes to training and talent development. His goals are to make sure all are represented and considered when it comes to talent management and for all to have the necessary tools for success. When Christan isn't studying or putting work in for C.Miller Photographic Services; you can find him enjoying craft beer pours from breweries around the country.
Brianna is going into her second year teaching middle school. She is a greater Charlotte area native. Went to UNC Charlotte as an Undergraduate where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Middle Grades Education concentrating in English and Science.
Bri then proceeded to enroll in Graduate school at UNCC to obtain her Master of Education in Learning, Design, and Technology concentrating in Online Learning and Teaching. In her first year of teaching, she was an 8th-Grade Science Teacher for Cabarrus County Schools. She taught a high school credit class, Earth/Environmental Science, offered to 8th graders who excel in science and general 8th-grade science.
This rising school year she will teach 7th grade English Language Arts in Lincoln County Schools. As well as assistant coaching the football cheerleading team. Bri loves to travel. She has a 50-50-50 goal (50 states and 50 countries by 50). She enjoys seeing new places and meeting new people.
